Recipe content & sharing.

Respecting recipe sources and making shared-list access clear.

Last updated: 21 October 2026Import only from accessible sources

Save what you have the right to use.

You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to save, copy, adapt or share recipe text, images, captions and links. Smart Meal Shelf is not a way to bypass a website, social network or creator’s access controls.

Recipe importing

When importing is live, you may share a webpage or public social-post link, or paste recipe information, to create a personal draft. Extraction depends on accessible recipe markup, captions or descriptions. It does not require or request your social-media password, and it is not designed to transcribe blocked audio or access private, paywalled or restricted content.

Sharing lists

A list owner can invite another registered user by email and select view-only or editing access. The invited person can see the list’s recipes, notes and other content that is shared with that list. The owner may revoke access. Do not add another person to a list unless you are comfortable sharing all content in that list with them.

Copyright, attribution and takedowns

Keep source links and attribution where appropriate. Do not upload material that infringes copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other rights. If you believe content in a shared Smart Meal Shelf list infringes your rights, email info@smart-businesssolutions.com with the URL or enough detail to identify the material and your reason for reporting it. We may restrict access while reviewing a report.

Food and health information

Recipes are user-provided cooking content, not medical, allergy or nutritional advice. Check ingredients, portions, storage, preparation and allergy suitability yourself, particularly for children, pregnancy, health conditions or severe allergies.
