1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to visitors to Smart Business Solutions websites and to anyone using an SBS system, portal, account or service. Some SBS services are provided to an organisation. In those cases, the agreement between SBS and that organisation may contain additional terms that apply to its authorised users.
2. Using an account
Use only an account and access route that has been provided or approved for you. Keep sign-in details confidential, use accurate information and tell your organisation or SBS promptly if you believe an account has been accessed by someone else.
Organisation administrators are responsible for assigning suitable access to their staff and for removing access when it is no longer needed.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use an SBS service to:
- break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
- share accounts, impersonate another person or try to access data you are not authorised to see;
- probe, scan, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or bypass security controls;
- upload malware, harmful code, unlawful material, or material you do not have the right to use;
- submit personal information about someone else without a lawful basis and the required notices; or
- send unsolicited, misleading or abusive communications through an SBS service.
4. Personal data and content
Where you upload or enter content, you remain responsible for ensuring that it is accurate, appropriate and shared lawfully. If you use an SBS service on behalf of an organisation, follow that organisation’s instructions, retention rules and privacy information.

5. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update or change SBS services to keep them secure, compliant and useful. We will aim to give reasonable notice where a planned change is likely to materially affect normal use. Services may occasionally be unavailable during maintenance or because of circumstances outside our control.
6. Intellectual property
The SBS name, branding, website content, software and service materials are owned by or licensed to Smart Business Solutions. You may use them only as needed to access and use the relevant service; no wider rights are granted.
7. Suspension or removal of access
We or the relevant organisation may suspend, restrict or remove access where this is reasonably necessary to protect people, data, systems or legal rights, including where these terms or a customer agreement are breached.
